Two things have caused a lot of excitement here at FastWebHost in early October – WordPress and caffeine. The later helps us keep up with our awesome daily monitoring, support, and tech work but, WordPress is the primary focus, especially with our first WordCamp Phoenix event.
On the special weekend of Oct 1 & 2, FastWebHost sponsored WordCamp Phoenix, a sold out event with over 400 attendees celebrating all things WordPress.
WordCamp is a locally organized conference covering everything related to WordPress, build knowledge and making connections with other users. WordCamps attract new users and established developers with a range of informative sessions covering WordPress design, development, business and more.
WordCamp Phoenix organizers included local community volunteers and professionals like Justin Tucker, Maura Teal, Raquel Landfeld and many more talented experts of the world’s most commonly used content management system.
A highlight of this event was a speaker/sponsor dinner graciously hosted at GoDaddy office in Tempe. No dinner is complete without a facility tour and GoDaddy’s infrastructure did not fail to impress.
On the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), the event moved to the Phoenix Convention Center downtown. Several members of the FastWebHost team networked with other fellow sponsors and attendees.
As with every WordCamp event, the major attractions were educational seminars happening simultaneously in two separate halls at the convention center. Keeping up with the latest trends in WordPress helps us manage the hosting, security and reliability part for our clients.
#wcphx was awesome and we loved being an integral part of it!
We’d like to extend our congratulations and thanks to everyone who was involved in organizing and hosting WordCamp Phoenix!
Stay tuned for more WordCamp events and updates from us.
